When your baby is around 20 months old he/she
will move up to the toddlers play room.
Here toddlers have access to a range of toys
designed to stimulate their imagination and offer
plenty of scope to practise the new skills
they are developing. They always have
open access to construction toys and other equipment
which helps develop fine motor
skills, together with a plentiful supply
of books, jigsaws and craft materials.
Children also take their naps in the toddlers
room, usually after lunch.
Toddlers like to move around a lot,
so garden play becomes very important, and
children are taken outside as much as possible,
where they can ride bikes, climb and jump.
They also enjoy regular visits to Roath Park
for walks or picnics. They join
the older children in the dining room for
meals and may also take part in other activities
with the older childen, such as circle time.
Amost before you know it, your toddler will
be ready to move up to the final stage of
nursery - the Foundation Stage. If
he/she is enrolling at Roath Park School
nursery, we offer an escort service
to and from the school nursery if required
